 This is the key to my room. The owners left and came back during the evening. I saw them from my window and one of them called to ask if everything was okay, but in a way which suggested that they didn't expect me to want anything. I never did get to see the communal areas. This morning, they are nowhere to be seen. I have just been out to put some oil on my bike after the night's rain. I thought that my footsteps on the gravel might attract somebody's attention but they didn't. There do see to be some other guests here now. Another car has arrived and I when I heard the gravel crunch, it was a woman photographing the building. I don't know whether she found any breakfast but I didn't. My reservation said that there would be breakfast but then it also said there would be a kettle in the room and there wasn't. Perhaps that's in the communal area. Luckily the main gate is unlocked so at about hlf past ten I just let myself out and left. I don't know whether I should have paid anything while I was here. I have already paid for the room but with most of the hotel rooms in France, I have paid in advance but then had to pay about another one euro of tax in person. The exact amount varies from town to town. I booked this room through a different website though so maybe that did the tax for me.
