![]() On the left is the spire of the church in Artenay, the village where I will be staying tonight. The factory on the right processes sugar. Aparently sugar has been big business around here for hundreds of years because ships from the Caribbean would come up the Loire and dock at Orleans, which is the highest navigable place on the river.
