 This stone is dated 1864 and is marked "1/4 MIL". I remember from my previous trip here that a Swedish mile was 10 kilometres. Kilometres did exist in 1864 but it makes me wonder how distances in Sweden were measured in centuries before that. I didn't see any other milestones today to check their separation.
