 It went so dark earlier that I thought the sun had actually set. I know it's been setting well after eight o'clock every day recently but I think that subconsciously, I was thinking that I had already been on the long boat trip, or had perhaps crossed a time zone boundary or something which would justify it. I was therefore surprised when the clouds cleared and the sun was still in the sky.
