 Strangely, when I booked my ferry ticket, the only meal options that I could find were meals for a whole family so I didn't book one of those. I assume that I will be able to get some food on board somehow but just in case, and to get out of the drizzle for a while, I've come inside for a three course lunch. There are plenty of restaurants in Cherbourg but it took me a while to find one which looked pleasant but where I felt like I could sit in the clothes which I've been wearing on the bike without lowering the tone.
