I don't understand zebra crossings in France. Vehicles occasionally stop there but normally don't. I tried to cross one about a hundred metres after crossing the border two days ago and it wasn't treated like a crossing in the Belgian part of the same town would have been. This crossing has no zebra stripes but does have an illuminated sign saying that pedestrians have priority.
