 Until a few days ago, my recollection had been that I had stayed at the Chat Botté in 2004. In fact, my diary says that I dismissed a very dingy hotel and "was just about to head over to a smarter one called something about a cat when I noticed that I was standing outside the Grand". I must have only realised after I had written that that it's the French name for Puss in Boots.
