 Well, this is it. You wouldn't know though. The door is shut and the name of the hotel isn't displayed anywhere. The little blue plaque next to the door just has a "no parking" symbol. In fact, it doesn't even have the building number on it. You just have to infer that from the buildings on eather side. I forgot to write down the address so I had to check the e-mail to make sure I was in the right place, and was alarmed to see that it said that there is no front desk here and that I shoulf have contacted the owners at least two days in advance to make arrangements for checking in. There was a phone number. I called it but didn't really know what good it would do: if it takes two days to make the arrangements then I wouldn't have much chance of getting anything sorted out for tonight. I certainly didn't know what to say when the call was answered by an answering machine in French. There didn't seem much point in leaving a message which might not get checked for two days so instead, I finished the slush puppie and then went online to find alternative accommodation.
