This plaque is on the outside of the building where I slept last night. The Pub is called Silken Thomas, which was the nickname of Thomas FitzGerald, the 10th Earl of Kildare, who lived from 1513 to 1537 and was involved in some way in fighting for greater power for Ireland. Lord Edward Fitzgerald was a completely different revolutionary who lived 250 years later. As it says, he was born in Kildare. I don't know why the plaque mentions Frascati (or Frescati) House though because that's in Dublin. It sort of looks as if that's where the plaque has been stolen from.
