I have seen a lot of there vehicles in action today, repairing power cables damaged by the storm. Also of note is that I've reached Highway 1, the longest North-South highway in the US. At its Southern end, it's the road which runs along the Florida Keys. It's significant to me because in the Carolinas, it runs approximately along the Fall Line, where the foothills of the Appalachians meet the Atlantic coastal plain. The early settlers came up the various rivers until they encountered the first waterfall and then stopped and established a city so there are a lot of cities on the Fall Line. The road joined them up. All that should mean that from here on, there are no more hills.
