Some forecasts said that the worst of the weather would come over during the night. Others said that it had already peaked by yesterday evening. I didn't hear any strong wind or rain during the night and that poster which I showed yesterday is still attached so I think Greenwood must have got off quite lightly. Now the wind and rain have gone, although it's still overcast. The patch of blue sky in this picture is the only one I would see all day.

I'm planning to ride to Orangeburg tomorrow. It's 170 km, which will be longer than any previous day on this trip. Since it's now the middle of September, that will take most of the available daylight. For a while this morning, I considered leaving this hotel a day early and splitting that 170 km between today and tomorrow. My main reasons for not doing that are that I've already paid for a night here and that I've still got so much food left from my trip to Food Lion on Sunday night that it will take me all day to eat it. It's too bulky to take with me. In fact, I would do pretty much nothing today and would spend part of the afternoon asleep.
