 I'm impressed at how well the land here drains. Despite yesterday's rain, there is virtally no standing water anywhere. The river bed in this garden probably only has water in it while rain is actually falling. You might just be able to make out another bird house to the right of the house. I've been told that they are for purple martins, a type of swallow.
