 The back part of my saddle has collapsed. Remarkably, it happened between where I was when I took the previous photograph and the start of the bridge, in the few metres between the sign which marked the end of Illinois highway 13 and the sign which marked the beginning of Kentucky highway 56. It's as if the saddle had agreed to take me across Illinois but no further. The front part of the saddle is still supported as well as it ever was so I can still ride the bike by sitting on that.
