Founded around 1740, Ste. Genevieve is the oldest European settlement West of the Mississippi. I've had a look at some pictures of the downtown area though and it looks like it's mainly unremarkable brick buildings. I don't think it's worth spending an hour walking there and back and I don't want to get back on the bike so I'll just have dinner here, next door to the hotel.
