 It didn't take me as long as I expected to get back to Jefferson City because I found that it is sort of possible to ride a bike with one pedal but it's quite tiring and occasionally painful. I'm now sitting in the park wondering what to do next. I'm not sure whether I want to carry on with this trip at all. A lot has gone wrong in the last few days and it feels like I'm now fighting against a trip which doesn't want to happen. On the other hand, the weather is being really good. It's been sunny for days and there is no wind. I can't claim that everything is going wrong while the weather is like this. It seems that there is a bike shop in Jefferson City which opens on Sunday mornings but not sunday afternoons or Mondays. There is another which apparently opens at half past eight tomorrow morning, which seems rather unlikely, and another which opens at ten. even if I have to wait for that one, I could still be on the trail as early as I was this morning, but with one day less to try to reach Clarksville.
