 I recently watched a video in which somebody was trying to identify which state "The Simpsons" is set in and concluded, based on evidence such as there being mountains and daylight saving time, and the people paying state income tax, that it was Matt Groening's home state of Oregon. A few days ago, while I had a car, I visited Springfield, Oregon and it didn't remind me much of the cartoon. This view of Prineville does though.
