 Apart from the Oval Office, the exhibition on the ground floor was one which anybody could have created really. It was mainly stock photographs and text. All the real treasures are downstairs, a part of the museum which I nearly missed. I only came down here to use the toilet. The microphone is one used by a radio station on the night of the 1948 election. Just like the newspaper, the radio station said that Truman was going to lose. When he won, they presented him wth the microphone. An even more remarkable historical artefact is the green thing on the right. It's the safety plug from the Nagasaki atomic bomb, which prevented it going off prematurely by accident.
