 We're now into the core part of my trip: the part which I booked over a year ago. Disconcertingly, the woman here had no record of my booking. Fortunately, the place had a spare room and the price that I was charged was about two thirds of what I had booked it for. I did have to spend most of my cash on it though because the card machine rejected two of my cards. I hope that was just because the Internet wasn't working here at the time. Tomorrow night is the night when I am most dubious about whether I will actally get a room. I booked it last Summer by e-mail but the people only responded to some of the e-mails which I sent them, and it took me a while to be satisfied that I actually had a room confirmed. After my experience here, I'm beginning to doubt it again. I thought there must have been another cyclist staying here but I now think that blue bike must belong to the owner. A little while later, there was a young boy, who I think also belongs to the owners, pedalling round the car park on a tricicle. It was like an outdoor version of The Shining. I'm about to go off to do some signtseeing. I would be a little confused on my return, about an hour from now, to find that a big heavy potted plant had appeared right where my bike is locked in this picture.
