 I've been fully recharging all my electrical devices every night but at this point, strange things started to happen. The camera complained that its battery was exhausted and turned itself off. Then I realised that my portable battery pack, which normally powers the phone doing the GPS logging, was unable to provide any power. In previous years, I have powered such devices off the laptop but I tried again just now and am still unable to get the laptop to keep its USB ports powered while it is asleep in my bag. I switched to using the old phone for GPS logging, like I did between Nottingham and Sheffield on Saturday, and just let it run until its battery was nearly flat. I started using the new phone for taking photographs. A combination of not having a proper camera, trying to get to Barrow without wasting too much time, and not wanting to get any equipment out in the rain will mean that there won't be very many photographs this afternoon.
