 Altrincham and Macclesfield are fairly close together and play in the same division. What must be confusing for visiting fans is that both grounds are in roads called Moss Lane. The ground in Altrincham is called Moss Lane while this one is called Moss Rose. Macclesfield Town are nicknamed the Silkmen. I didn't know until I got here that Macclesfield was once the world's biggest producer of finished silk, but there are mentions of it everywhere.
