At the far end, the houses have encroached onto where the pitch was but at this end, to a very good approximation, the wall of the building was the edge of the grass, the garden wall was the goal line, and this driveway was the goal.

Since every team in a division has to play every other team during a season both at home and away, all the top division teams must have played here. It's quite remarkable to think that all the big name players who I remember from the 1990s must have spent time playing in this ground but what I find even more impressive is that, since the teams change ends at half time, every Premier League goalkeeper, such as David Seaman and Bruce Grobbelaar, must have spent three quarters of an hour trying to keep footballs off this drive.
