 I'm staying at the Mermaid tonight. I chose it just because it's about the only hotel in Rye with a car park. Normally if a city centre hotel says that it has no parking, then there will still be room to park a bike somewhere pretty close by, locked to a railing or a street sign. In Rye, there isn't even that.
