 The Middlesbrough transporter bridge. It's a sort of cross between a bridge and a ferry, where a small section of road deck hangs by cables from the rails at the top and carries vehicles across the river at ground level. I might go and have closer look at it later. There's another one in Newport which I might see in the distance too.
