 I've travelled 900 km since leaving Christchurch without using any powered transport of any kind at all. There has been no need to use lifts in hotels because only one of my rooms has been upsatirs. Now though I've ended that unpowered journey and come for a trip to Nugget Point in a minibus. I had been thinking of riding here but it's an 18 km round trip and there were posters all over the motel advertising a guided tour. The silly thing is that I'm the only person on it apart from Bruce, who runs the motel, who is driving. We're starting by seeing some more yellow-eyed penguins.
