This morning, I'm totally confused about what time it is. I can't work out how long ago I woke up, how long ago I arrived here, how much longer I've got until the sun sets again and so on. The trouble is that I'm now working in five time zones so although I might know what time something happened, it's hard to remember which time zone I was using when I made the observation.

They are:
UTC+8: The official time everywhere from the border line just across the car park to the end of this trip,
UTC+8.75: The local time here,
UTC+9: The nearest thing to the local time that I can get my watch to show,
UTC+10.5: The official time here,
UTC+11: The nearest thing to the official time here that I can get my watch to show, and the time which I have been using for the last month.

At least the fact that there's no network connection here meant that I don;t also have to worry about UTC+0, the time back home.
