 I stood here having a rest on the way up a hill and wished I had brought my sound recorder. There is a wonderful range of birdsong coming from those trees, accompanied by the occasional bleat from behind me. It would be good to play that back at 3:15 one morning in the future back home when I'm unable to sleep and everything around is quiet, just to know that these sorts of noises are going on somewhere in the world.
