 Two touring cyclists. Part of me wonders if I should have tried cycling across Australia instead of driving. I had a strong tailwind from the South today and when I looked at a forecast a few days ago, it predicted strong tailwinds from the East along the South coast every day for the next two weeks so it might have been quite easy going. I've been on a few rides now where it's been 100 km from one building to the next but I just didn't feel brave enough to go into a region where it can be over 200 km, especially as that region is only about 30 degrees South so it doesn't get the long summer days that I've always had when I've done such long rides before.
