The inside of the van. I did pay $10 for a set of sheets and a sleeping bag so if I'm feeling ambitious, I might try sleeping in it one night. I only really wanted a car but this van needs to go to Western Australia for some reason so I've got it at a bargain rate because I've agreed to take it there. Sometimes when hire companies are really desperate for somebody to take a vehicle somewhere, they even pay for the fuel. They aren't doing that with this one, which is a shame because it's pretty thirsty. The quoted figure is about 20 miles per gallon and as I have already used over half a tank, I would say that seems about right. Crossing Australia in it could well end up costing about £500 in fuel.
