 I'm back in the gaol because I hadn't quite finished in there. This is the gallows, seen from above. I was surprised to read about how most of the hangmen throughout the gaol's history were criminals themselves who were only available to hang someone if they happened to be in prison at the time. It sounds like most of them weren't very good at it.
