 Because I've got time to spare, I'm giving the bike a service. I've tightened the brakes, replaced the chain, using the one of my spares which is quite complicated to fit and which I wouldn't want to have to do at the roadside, and swapped the tyres over. I bought these two tyres in Armidale on Christmas Eve and I'm hoping they will last as far as Melbourne, in which case they're now about half-way through their lives. They looked to be in good shape but they are a tight fit on the rims and I think I may have damaged both of them in the process of getting them off.
