 I've been on the New England Highway for about 600 of the last 700 km and I've been impressed with it. for most of the way, its shoulders have been wide enough that I haven't had to mix with the rest of the traffic and it's had virtually no roadworks, unlike the highway from Brisbane to Toowoomba. It ends here, with a 4 km traffic jam which fortunately doesn't affect the cycle lane.
