 My lunch stop today is in Deepwater. There are plenty of cafes and shops to choose from but none of them seem quite right. The cafe where I went first has a shady place to sit outside but not a great selection of food or drinks. This supermarket offers more choice but the bench isn't very well shaded. The weather here is the same as it has been for me all the way from Brisbane but although heat like this is normal down there, two separate shoppers have just told me that up here at 1000 metres above sea level, it rarely gets this hot. One of them also recommended Tasmania as a good place to go cycling. I haven't got any firm plans for January yet so I'll add that to my list of options.
