Lake Rotoma. The New Zealanders are not only worried about species being brought in from abroad; they are also very concerned about pests being transferred from one region to another. The notices here are all to tell people to clean and dry boats thoroughly before and after use, so that they don't transfer organisms from one lake to another. The floating cordon on the lake is also meant to stop the spread of pests somehow.
