 I'm glad I'm not trying to ride on this section of road. The stones are huge and would challenge even my new tyres. Somewhere along this section of road there was a significant moment when for the first time, I passed through a place which was on the opposite side of the world to somewhere where I had been previously. On the map here, the green line marks everywhere I've ever been and the red line marks the points on the opposite side of the world. Until now, those lines have been separated but they've just met as I passed through a point which was antipodal to somewhere on the flight which I took from London to Lisbon at the start of my 2011 trip.
