 I'm a bit worried about the logistics of today. Arrcording to the coach website, all I have to do to get the bike onto the coach is remove the pedals and cover the chain. The trouble with that it that if the back wheel turns, it will move the chain so I'm not sure how I could keep it covered. For simplicity, I've thrown the old chain away and I've got a replacement ready to go on later. The bike has done over 1000 miles now so it could do with having its chain replaced. When I get to Picton, I have to transfer onto a ferry. I'm not sure whether I will have to ride the bike on like a motorcyclist would, or whether I need to check it in as luggage as if I was getting on a plane, which means that I don't know whether I will need to replace the chain first or disassemble the bike further and package it somehow. I won't have long at the ferry terminal to find out before I have to get on board.
