 Although Oamaru is a large town, I walked right through the centre and out along one of the main roads to my hotel just before 10 pm and the only places open were one bar and one fast food place, which is why I was surprised that the doors to this little atrium were wide open. Inside is a display of antique generators and electrical appliances. Even more strangely, the door on the right is unlocked...
