Today has been remarkable. I've covered 60 miles in 4 hours and 6 minutes, whereas I would normally expect that distance to take about 6 hours. The reason was because the ground was flat, the road was of a good quality, there has been an Icelandic-strength wind pushing me along, and for the last three hours it's been so cold that I didn't want to stop exercising and raining so hard that I didn't want to stop and take photographs, partly because there was not much to see except fog, and partly because I didn't want to risk breaking another camera. Unfortunately, it's possible that I may have done that just by taking the last three pictures. When I turned it on on the hotel later I would find that the display on the back was flickery and looked to have water inside it.
