 This looks like an antenna for transferring data either in or out of these woods. Icelanders are very keen on Information Technology. A greater fraction of the people have Internet access here than in any other country in the world and I believe there are websites giving live date from accross the country on all sorts of unlikely subjects. I'm going to look for a thorough weather site later. There must be one.
