 Mains sockets in the ceiling? that's a new one. Television in Iceland has been very strange. For a start, it's the only place I've known where hotel rooms often don't have sets. Where there has been a set, I haven't always turned it on but until just now, the only channels I had ever found had been British ones and even then it was only this morning that I found anything from the BBC. This hotel does have a couple of Icelandic channels, including this one which just shows a still picture of the back of the parliament building.
