 In most of the hotels where I have stayed on this trip, the wireless LAN has been encrypted and I've had to ask at reception for the password. In the one hotel where the password was written down in the room, it was on a small card in a bowl of unappetising apples so I didn't see it until the morning. I thought I had been saved the trouble here when I learned that this hotel had a wired network too. It didn't work though. I can't help noticing that I seem to have developed the most ridiculous suntan I have ever seen. It's obviously come about from wearing a helmet but I don't understand why it hasn't happened on previous trips.
