 I've had all sorts of roads today: urban roads, four-lane dual carriageways with light traffic and a good wide smooth shoulder, narrow busy roads with no shoulder, dedicated cycle paths, and roads in a variety of conditions which seem to have very little traffic indeed. This was about as quiet as the roads got.
