 The port of Felixstowe, seen from the ferry from Harwich to Hoek van Holland. This year, for a change, I'm heading off without much of an idea where I'm going. I've got a hotel booked for tonight but apart from that, all I really know is that I've got to be back in four weeks. I'm thinking that it might turn into some kind of circular ride, where I don't go too far away and end up sort of back here. That's partly because it's not always easy to fly a bike home at the end of a ride and this year I've got a more expensive bike than normal and don't want to lose it, and partly because air travel of any kind is turning out to be fairly unreliable this year.
