 The view from my window. The welcome at this hotel was rather overwhelming. When I got here, I was wet and dirty and just wanted a shower but Jorge the doorman accosted me before I even reached the door and by the time I received my room key, he had moved my bike into that garage, introduced me to all the staff and got one of them to take my menu choices for the dinner which I had forgotten I had requested. The only reason he didn't try to bring my bags up to the room was because he was already on the phone trying to source some new tyres for me. It didn't take long to get the gear mechanism back into what looks like working order. With new tyres, I should be back on the road tomorrow. It's funny how quickly my spirits have lifted. When I first locked the bike up at this hotel, I thought I might never return to it.
