 The hotel. I'm rather glad I came up here. Pirot was quite a grotty town and the reviews I had heard of the hotels there weren't great. It's lovely and peaceful up here though. I spent the last hour giving my bike a good service, and earwigging the conversation of a group of people having a drink under one of those umbrellas. There were some from Scotland, one who sounded like he was from Liverpool and a couple from Finland. They are here on business and sell something which uses leather and neoprene but I never really worked out what. I think it might have been boots. My homework tonight is learning the name of Serbia and Wolverhampton midfielder Nenad Milijas. If the border guard at Gradina decides to phone the guard at Bogojevo to ask if I really entered Serbia there, it might help to jog his mind.
