Two things here. Firstly, haystacks like the ones in Romania. Farm machinery has been becoming progressively smaller since France and hay bales have been shrinking correspondingly. Today, it looks like baling has been abandoned in favour of stacking.

Secondly, look at the road now! It's flat, smooth and empty. The last person to pass me was a bloke on a bike carrying a television antenna. The favourable breeze which I had thought I would have for the last few days has finally materialised and the rain has held off to give a not unpleasant cool but dull day.
