 I'm following the Danube cycle path again. There are no signs on today's section yet but I downloaded a turn-by turn description from http://www.danube-info.org. It includes a lengthy and persuasive section called "Why you should not be driving on the right riverside of the Danube to get from Belgrade to Smederevo?", which is why I am now on the left bank again. On this bank, it says that I could use the proper road but that the way you see here is "not at all busy and that it runs across magnificent landscape". It's certainly right about it being quiet but after a few kilometres, the scenery does get a bit monotonous.
