 St. Omer. There are some attractive-looking restaurants around here, although they all seem to be pretty quiet. Not having spoken much French for a long time, I thought it best to stick to the relatively safe ground of my hotel's own restaurant. It was all going okay until some confusion arose when I didn't bother to recite the full description of what I wanted from the menu and for some reason, the waitress thought that meant that I only wanted part of the meal.
