 I bought some spare spokes at this bike and moped shop. I think I caught them just before siesta time. As is normal for Italy, it didn't seem to matter at all that I we were speaking different languages in there. Shortly after stopping here, another spoke broke. This one did break as a result of an obvious bump in the road. I tried to do a proper job of fixing it this time and spent an hour and a half at it, during which time I broke another spoke and was viciously bitten by a huge fly. The wheel looked pretty good afterwards. It's not normal for spokes to keep breaking like this but as long as it only happens once every couple of days and I am able to buy spares from time to time, I suppose it won't stop me.
