 I'm pleasantly surprised with Venice. It's certainly full of tourists but I expected it to be the kind of place where you needed to be on your guard all the time. For the first time on this trip, I'm wearing my money belt, which usually sits at the bottom of my pannier holding my foreign currency. I don't think I needed it. The whole place seems pretty relaxed. There's been nobody hassling me to buy things.
