 Here's where my bike will stay tonight. This is another smart-looking hotel. It seems to be slightly over-obsessed with technology though. There was a remote control for the air conditioner and the television seemed to have a mind of its own. It was at least an hour before I managed to turn it off and even then I didn't know how I had done it. There's a free Internet connection though. Having dinner here was a mistake though. The hotel is pretty posh but it's on an industrial estate. The grand curtains in the bedroom somehow manage not to invite you to open them and discover that there are bars on the windows. There was no way that I was going to ride back through that motorway tunnel in the rain to find something to eat in the town. I think the hotel realised this and had laid a table ready for each party of guests staying here. While the food was tasty, it was incredibly expensive and somewhat lacking in the vegetable department. There was one canapé and a bread basket but apart from that, my starter was a plate of meat and my main course was a piece of meat. There was nothing else at all. If this business of charging as much for the dinner as for the room goes on much longer, I'll be going for the bags of sweets option for dinner most nights.
